Travel Options to Plateia Ammos
By Car and Ferry
- Drive to the village of Neapoli Voion in the south of the Peloponnese peninsula, then take a ferry to Kythira, arriving in Diakofti. From there, it's a 15 km drive to Plateia Ammos.
- Ferries are also available from Athens (Port of Piraeus) or from the port of Gytheio.
By Plane
- Kythira has an airport (Kythira Island National Airport, code KIT) with regular flights from Athens operated by Aegean Airlines. From the airport, you can take a taxi for approximately 12 km.
- Alternatively, after arriving in Athens, you can take the X93 bus line to the port city of Piraeus and then a boat to Kythira (operated by SeaJets).
For booking flights, I recommend www.kiwi.com or directly with Aegean Airlines.
Upon arrival, you can rent a car; I recommend Panayotis car rental.
Detailed instructions for arrival and accommodation will be provided in the confirmation email after booking your stay.
